Privacy Policy

MyFamilyAdmin (“the service”) is developed and operated by Stellar Point Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”). MyFamilyAdmin provides the shared account and family layer used by our household apps, including MyReceipts and MyBudget. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how it is handled.

Information we collect

MyFamilyAdmin follows a privacy by design model. We practice data minimisation, meaning we only request and store the data essential to running the service. If a data point isn’t required to provide you with a great experience, we don’t collect it. Period.

• Account information from Google Sign-In: when you sign in, Google shares your email address and a unique Google account identifier with us. We use this to create and recognise your account. We never see or store your Google password, and we do not collect your name from Google.
• Display name (optional): you may set a display name for yourself, shown to the other members of your family. This is entered by you, not sourced from Google, and can be changed at any time.
• Family information: your family’s name, which family you belong to, your role in it, join requests, and the family’s time zone, so shared data can be scoped to the right group of people.
• Shared financial data you enter: the categories, and the dated expense and income entries (amount, description, category, date), that you or another family member record in the apps that use MyFamilyAdmin. This is the core content of those apps.

We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, or any device data beyond what is needed to operate the service, and we do not use analytics or advertising trackers.

How we use this information

Solely to provide the service’s functionality: authenticating you, keeping your family and its members in sync across apps, and storing the shared categories and expense/income entries those apps read and write. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

Sharing

Family and financial data is visible only to members of your family. We do not share your information with third parties, except:

• Google, solely to authenticate your sign-in.
• Our infrastructure provider (Microsoft Azure), which hosts the databases and servers that store and process this data on our behalf.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your account and family data for as long as your account exists. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us using the details below.

Children’s privacy

MyFamilyAdmin is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
